Edward Boot Marbled Color #8 Shell Cordovan

For our 10th anniversary, we wanted to select a new Shell Cordovan color. Horween produces Marbled Color #8 Shell Cordovan by applying several layers of aniline dye to vegetable-tanned shells, then scraping off layers of the finish to create its marbled effect. The result is strikingly different than normal Color #8. The color evokes a blend of honey glaze, deep garnet, rich amber, and mahogany.  

Due to the hand-processed nature of creating the marbled effect, color variation is expected. Some pairs will be lighter, others darker. Color variation between panels is also common and considered acceptable. This article is the antithesis of a cookie-cutter article.
